Welcome back to my little blog. Won't you come in for a visit? It's been a while - more than a while - but it's been good and healthful to be so fully engaged in living life and not so concerned about stopping in the middle of a recipe to snap the perfect picture.
It's been busy, too; at work, with family obligations (weddings! babies! graduations!), and as I've been checking more items off my twentynine in twentyten list.
I signed up this spring to host a small group of women at my home twice a month for Bible study and it turned out to be one of the richest experiences of my life. What a fantastic opportunity to get to know some really wonderful people, to learn from them, and to discuss a book that had us all thinking critically about our priorities.
All in all, it's been a lovely couple of months. The Hubs and I have gone on a few sweet dates, celebrated a fun night with friends, and I went on a wild tear to simplify our belongings (starting with our closet and ending with our attic). Sometimes I've cooked, sometimes I haven't. I had the opportunity to sing in a concert with several talented people. We've planted our dear little garden and are looking forward to savoring its bounty soon. I'm enjoying this summer, though it feels as though it's already flying by.
What have you been up to this summer? Do you have anything on your calendar that you're particularly excited about?
